AVANO

Avano Web is being built.

This address is reserved for it. There is nothing to sign in to yet, and nothing here collects anything — no cookies, no analytics, no fonts or scripts from anywhere else.

How it will work

Your phone stays the only device that holds your keys and runs the encryption. The browser is a window onto it. Everything you read here is decrypted in this tab and nowhere else.

Between the two sits one of our servers, and it exists only so the browser and the phone can find each other when they are not on the same network. It forwards sealed traffic it cannot read — not by promise, but because it links no cryptography at all, and routes by an opaque number rather than by anything that could name you.

What that server does learn, stated plainly rather than buried: that a given phone and a given browser are the same person, roughly where each is connecting from, and when they are active. Not what you say, and not who you say it to. If that trade is not one you want, the desktop app has no server in the middle at all.

Nothing on this page is a product claim about what is finished. What runs today, what is being built, and what we refuse to build is on avano.app/limits.
